These are some of the ministries of Agape Baptist Church. They provide regularly scheduled opportunities for fellowship, training and service.
Bible Studies – Speaking the TRUTH in Love
At Agape we host various home Bible study fellowships in both English and Afrikaans. We seek to provide interactive opportunities for people to grow in their understanding of God and His Word. Discipleship and fellowship are extremely Important for all believers in Jesus and we therefore seek to adhere to the Great Commission to Make Disciples, to Baptize, and to Teach (Matt. 29:19-20)
For our current schedule, please contact one of the pastors.
Biblical Leadership Institute exists to prepare men and women for ministry within and alongside the local church. We are a team of South African and international instructors who desire to see local church ministry strengthened along the Garden Route. Through strategic partnerships with ACRP (Association of Christian Religious Practitioners) as well as existing, accredited theological schools in South Africa, we offer qualifications designed to instill biblical leadership principles in the lives of our students.
Visitors are always welcome to our institute. If there’s anything you’d like to know about our programs and curriculum, please get in touch.

Our Different Meeting Locations
The Knysna location for the Biblical Leadership Institute is located at 6 Queen Street in Knysna. The classes are offered at the ministry headquarters for Knysna Hope.
The George location for the Biblical Leadership Institute is located at the Headquarters of Inspire George Ministries, 76 Cradock Street in George.
The Sedgefield location for the Biblical Leadership Institute is located at the Headquarters of Lakeside Ministries, 3 Duiwe Street in Sedgefield.
Every Sunday morning, during the preaching portion of the meeting, the children of Agape gather for their own songs and instruction.
The purpose of our Children’s Ministry is to supplement the biblical teaching and training that parents are already giving their children and we strive to do that in a way that the children find fun and enjoyable.
We want our children to grow up with a positive church experience while they learn the Gospel and the foundational doctrines of the Christian faith.
Agape Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry of Agape Baptist Church is for teens, ages 13-19 (or in high school).
The intent of our programs is to see the Word of God applied in the lives of teenagers and to cultivate spiritual fruit that results in teens that love God and live in obedience to His Word.
Our ministry is designed to work together with parents as they seek to cultivate their teen’s spiritual maturity. What a joy to see teens and parents growing together in their commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ!
The teenage years are filled with unique opportunities for parents and the church to inspire and equip the next generation for its role in God’s plan. These years need not be synonymous with the rebellion or unsupervised independence that is characteristic of our culture. We are excited about what God is doing in and through our Youth Ministry.
We currently meet on Friday evenings from 6pm until 8pm at the Poplin’s. We also have special events throughout the year, so check our youth events calendar. (Contact one of our pastors for details)
Agape Youth… Where fun, fellowship, and faith meet!!
Coffee and Contemporary Issues (CCI)
Coffee and Contemporary Issues (CCI) is for young adults (Matrics through 30 years old).
It is designed to be a relaxed discussion of the issues that face young adults today and to see how the Bible addresses those issues. The goal is to show the timeless applicability of the Scriptures, regardless of the changing issues of the day.
It is also designed to give young Christian adults the tools they need in defending their faith in an increasingly hostile world. Contact one of the pastors for more details.
