History of Agape Baptist Church
Establishment of Agape Baptist Church
Agape Baptist Church is a new church in the town of George. Church Planters, Bryant and Sharan Crane and Julie McFadden moved to George from Cape Town in 2009 to establish a new church. Services started in the Crane’s home. Later that year, Rod and Tina Poplin joined the team and we started using the Protea Hotel conference room as our meeting place.
Youth and Children’s Ministry
From the beginning we have put an emphasis on outreach with a active youth ministry. With the Poplin’s arrival new emphasis was given to youth and children’s ministry and outreach.
Julie McFadden provides experienced musical and children’s ministry direction.
The Piek Family
In 2010 the Pastor Koot Piek and his family joined us and has become part of our church planting team.
